Quick Answer
There is no single best loot spot in MW4 DMZ. The best loot comes from compounds (stronger AI, better rewards), clinics for medical supplies, the automated train, commanders and lieutenants, and the backpacks of players you kill. Everything else you find goes into the 3D Printer as ingredients.
What is the best loot in MW4 DMZ?
For most runs, the best loot is whatever feeds your next FOB upgrade or recipe. Crates, boxes, caches and fridges drop resources such as metals and chemicals for the 3D Printer, and you can inspect an item to see what it does: Biomaterials, for example, is an ingredient for med kits and self-revive kits. Rare drops come from commanders and lieutenants, and weapon recipes can turn up in loot.
Where should you look for the best loot in MW4 DMZ?
Players report these as the strongest places to search:
- Compounds. They are better defended, with shielders and armored AI, but normally have very good loot, such as a CPU for a future FOB upgrade. A percentage on screen shows how much of the compound you have cleared.
- Clinics. Green buildings with medical supplies: medkits, bandages, chemicals and Biomaterials.
- The train. An automated civilian train runs through Hajin and is not operated by any player. One player looting it hoped for weapon recipes and found a key marked for D6; many players never loot it.
- Commanders. Commanders drop valuable 3D Printer ingredients, XP, money and an upgrade to your Boss Board. Colossus drops military composite, a legendary crafting material used for later FOB upgrades.
- Lieutenants. They can drop a signature weapon and rare keys to locked locations. See the MW4 DMZ bosses and MW4 DMZ keys pages.
- Other players. You can loot the backpack and equipment of any player you kill, and a flock of vultures marks where a player died.
Use the MW4 DMZ Hajin map to pick a route that passes through several of these.
How do you spend what you loot?
Resources you pick up are added to your resources, and you craft with them at the 3D Printer if you extract with those ingredients. Electronic Sensors, for example, are an Uncommon ingredient you print for equipment recipes and FOB upgrades. Check the MW4 DMZ Electronic Sensors guide for printer access, ingredient costs and which upgrades need them before you decide what to keep.
